I'm known for my signature painting series called Sad Girls.
My debut solo exhibition, Sad Girls, was presented at the Asian American Resource Center from April to July 2023. The series began as an exploration of anxiety and sadness, then evolved into playful and lighthearted compositions that reflect transformation and self-care.
Through imagery of picnics, women, and open fields, each piece explores language, identity, and emotion—inviting viewers into a world where complex feelings, cultural narratives, and community experiences come to life with humor and warmth. These spaces serve as gentle gestures of care—offering her, and by extension myself, a place to breathe and exist free from the weight of anxiety. It has been 5 years 🎂 since its conception. This body of work continues to grow and evolve alongside my career and life adventures.

I'm passionate about what I do.
Born in the Philippines 1998, I grew up in an extended family of carpenters and construction workers, which nurtured my early creativity. At 16, I immigrated to the United States in 2014 with my family, an experience that profoundly shaped my artistic perspective.
I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2021. Currently, I'm expanding my professional career into theatre design at Austin Community College. I made my debut as a scenic designer for ACC’s fall 2025 production of The Importance of Being Earnest.
My accolades include:
⭐A commissioned CapMetro bus wrap. 2024.
⭐A Nexus grant. 2024.
⭐A summer art residency with Raaisin in the Sun. 2024.
⭐Soho House creative fellowship. 2023.
I actively apply to artist open calls year round, and I try to create my own opportunities. I do vendor markets where I connect with new audiences. I'm very lucky that I got to major in fine arts during college. That gave me time to learn the foundations and find what I like to paint.
Do you work for free?
No. I'm an artist and a business owner. If you have a budget, we can talk.
