Hey, I’m Veeny! I’m an artist and designer who loves experimenting with craft and technology. My DIY mindset comes from my background in UX, public art, and theatre. Whether through installations, digital spaces, or public art, I’m passionate about crafting experiences that connect communities.

About

From an early age, I’ve always been drawn to making things. Growing up in the Philippines surrounded by relatives in carpentry and construction, I learned early on from my uncles to be crafty and make the best out of what you have. I moved to the U.S. at 16 years old with my parents, and art became my way of holding onto my identity and sense of home.
I pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I wanted to build worlds for my art, which led me to 3D modeling, UX design, and eventually assistant teaching at a design bootcamp.
Since graduating in 2021, I’ve worked in visual design while finding my way back to art with a new purpose: creating experiences that bring people together. I strive to create work that uplifts BIPOC communities and fosters intersectional spaces through shared knowledge and accessibility.

My 2024 was full of vibrant community collaborations, bringing people together through art and public projects.

Solo Exhibit
My debut solo exhibit, Sad Girls, was sponsored by the city of Austin.
I developed a thoughtful body of work (paintings, 3D renders, illustrations) that took over 3 years to create.
